Cazenovia Art Trail

The Cazenovia Art  Trail is back on this year!

Please visit me on the weekend of September 25th and 26th for the Cazenovia Art Trail — I will be exhibiting at the Route 20 Sofa Company,  a short drive outside of the village, between the hours of 10 am to 5 pm.  I am so pleased to be exhibiting with  Shawn Gilmore and Henry Drexler,  two very talented artists.  I will once again do a drawing for a free painting;  entry forms will be available on-site.  Click here to view the Art Trail map!

In addition to my oil and mixed media paintings,  a new collection of mini encaustics and fine art stickers (shown above) will be available. The stickers, digitally produced from some of my favorite paintings,  are excellent for personalizing your laptop or coffee cup — and dishwasher safe! Please click this link for a preview of some of the work that will be offered that weekend.

If you are unable to attend, but find something you would like on the website, contact me via email for special Art Trail pricing.

In other news...

I’ve spent time at Chautauqua Institution for most summers of my life, and this year was no exception — except! this year I was able to rent space in the historic Art Quad for the first time. I was surrounded by talented artists from around the world doing residencies there. It was an inspiring and very rich experience.

I worked daily in my small but efficient studio, and produced a number of encaustics and cold wax paintings. We had SO much rain early on, the greenery of my surroundings had a real effect on my work.

I’ve been doing a lot of abstract work lately but was inspired by the location to paint several series of petite landscapes. I realized I had missed doing this type of work, and plan on painting more of them before the art trail, so stay tuned.....
